Congratulations to the 2007 VSLI Fall Champions!

Congratulations to the U-12 Girls Premier, U-13 Boys United, U-15 Boys United and U-17 Boys Premier for winning the championship in their respective VSLI divisions!

With a record of 8 wins, and no losses, the U-12 Girls Premier, coached by Doug Barkey, dominated VSLI play this season.

Coach Barkey says “We scored 31 goals and only let in 3 which was impressive. The defense played tough all season and gave us a good platform. Ten out of our twelve players managed to score during the season, so we had a well balanced attack. We were also solid in midfield which enabled us to possess the ball well and dominate games.”

Coached by Ken Drury, the U-13 Boys United went undefeated during the fall campaign with seven wins and one draw.

Ken Drury had this to say about the group, “I'm proud of the boys for their efforts during what has been a successful season.  The team is full with players who have a lot of potential. We must now look forward to next season and try to raise the bar in terms of performance, both for the group and individually, so we can meet the challenge of the spring season.

The U-13 united boys are a great bunch of guys who I believe can meet this challenge.”

With the same record as the U-13’s, seven wins and one draw, the U-15 Boys United also went undefeated throughout the VSLI season. Chuck Berson, coach of the U-15 team, has done a fantastic job with the boys and his impact is clearly evident with these results.

Chuck had this to say about the team, “This group of young people have worked very hard to learn how to play the brand and style of soccer needed to compete in the VSLI and in tournament play.  Our success on the pitch reflects their dedication to each other and to the team.”

The U-17 Boys Premier team, coached by Dave LaLiberty, came out on top in a very competitive and closely fought division.

On the team’s performance, Dave says, “The boys played really well and competed in every game. The hard work and commitment of the team is very good and I am proud of them!”

Again, congratulations to all the VSLI champions! Well done to all our teams that competed in the VSLI this fall, see you in the spring!
